2 minute noodles

Eating Well

– It’s easy to resort to meals of 2-minute noodles and take aways when you are busy studying for your exams or writing your thesis, but it’s important to look after your health so you can perform well academically. If you find yourself snacking on unhealthy food, try replacing crisps and chocolate in your cupboard and fridge with fruit, low-fat yoghurt and dips with Ryvita or vegetables. You’re more likely to grab what’s near to hand, then walk down to the shops (unless you have a serious craving for chocolate perhaps and then at least you are getting some exercise in the process).  Here are some tips on how to maintain a healthy and balanced diet.

Staying Active

– Exercise will help you concentrate, so it’s worthwhile working some kind of exercise into your daily routine so you can be more effective when you are studying. If you live close enough to your college or university you could look at riding or walking to your classes. Or perhaps a jog around a nearby park or through the streets is more your thing. University gyms tend to have very reasonable membership prices for students, so you could look at joining up. Many gyms also hire out squash courts too, or you could see what classes they offer. Yoga is popular with both men and women in the UK and is good for combating stress. Or you could try something more active like pilates, body combat or boxing.
